The first hot sauce we ever made was a thick, mostly pepper sauce and it was awful. Too hot, no flavor, could melt a hole in granite etc. This is a throwback to that sauce because it’s still got a ton of peppers in there, but now it is tasty and a little less likely to burn a hole in your linens.

If you’ve followed us for a while you know we enjoy peppers-first sauces (similar to our Serrano Garlic sauce) and this continues that trend. The bottle is half full of scorpion peppers and the rest is just a vessel to allow you to get it onto your foods. Ratios are important and we feel like we nailed it with this one.

You’ll notice it’s an 8/7 on our heat scale. When we made the scale, we intentionally stopped at 7 so you’d know anything above that was super hot! This one is true to that for most, though some are likely to become addicted to the pepper flavor and the scorching heat.

We especially love this one on bratwursts and in mac and cheese, but you can try it on just about everything.

Pro tip, if you don’t like how little comes out, you can always remove the reducer (the little plastic piece on top).

    Let me start off by saying I just finished trying this like 5 mins ago and am still sweating. It’s phenomenal. I love spicy sauce and this one has one unique property that sets it apart from many others I’ve tried. You get all the heat and flavor without it destroying your taste buds. I got to enjoy every bite from start to finish. It is a thicker sauce and easy to apply in moderation which is perfect for the heat level. The whole experience was enjoyable but make sure you have a napkin near by to wipe the sweat from your brow. I will be back for more and urge you to give it a shot if you are spicy enthusiast like myself.

    Let me preface with this: I do not enjoy the hottest of the hot sauces. When I dabble in the hot sauce realm, I enjoy flavor over heat. This is why I typically stay with milder sauces. That being said, I got my first taste of the 8 today and hoowee it was a hot one. I put three drops on one bite for my lunch today, and it stuck with me for the rest of lunch. *Again, not a heat guy here*
    Apart from the heat itself, the flavor was actually good, once I found it. Good garlic flavor, and can’t wait to give it just one more try on a bratwurst, since I read Ron’s recommendation.
