Making you weak in the chut-knees with loads of flavor and a little pop of cinnamon.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Apples (chopped)
- 2 cups Mango (frozen or fresh)
- 2 Serranos (de-seeded)
- 1 cup Onion (diced)
- 2 inch piece Ginger (minced)
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 1/4 cup Sugar (or sugar substitute)
- 1/8 cup Brown Sugar (or brown sugar substitute)
- 1 cup Distilled White Vinegar
- 1 Tbsp Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Allspice
- 1 tsp Ground Mustard
- 1/2 tsp Salt
Directions
- Chop all of your ingredients up with those amazing knife skills of yours. Yes, even the powdered spices, give them a chop.
- Combine everything into a large bowl.
- That's all. You've now got a chunky chutney (don't let it hear you say that though). Of course, if you wanted a more traditional chutney, you could continue.
- If desired, use an immersion blender or food processor to coarsely pulse the chutney, which by this point is self-conscious.
- Once it is at the texture you'd like, toss it in the fridge for a few hours or overnight. This allows the flavors to throw a party and mix together better. Nothing like togetherness.
- Serve on anything. Pork, lamb, beef. It's great on any of them. Enjoy!
