Bottle Rocket Hot Sauce Co. – Verde Hot Sauce Feature
Fun fact, between the recording of this feature and its release, the whole design has been given a facelift. With new labels (with a cool outline cut into it) and green caps, Bottle Rocket Hot Sauce Co. continues to take its branding to the next level.
Verde Hot Sauce Overview
A vibrant green, the Verde from Bottle Rocket Hot Sauce Co. does things a little differently. Featuring the Jalapeno pepper, the Verde sauce also contains a healthy dose of Cucumber. That’s right. CUCUMBERS in hot sauce. We’ve not seen this anywhere else, but it works really well. It creates a crispness to a jalapeno sauce that we’ve not found before.
Ingredients: green jalapenos, organic white vinegar, cucumbers, organic lime juice, salt
Bottle Rocket Hot Sauce Co. Hot Sauce Lineup
Bottle Rocket Hot Sauce Co. is pretty straight-forward with its naming. They didn’t go with some fancy naming convention. Instead, they opted for naming them exactly what the sauce is.
Hot: organic distilled vinegar, red jalapeños, smoked onions, salt, garlic scapes
Hotter: organic distilled vinegar, red habaneros, smoked onions, salt, garlic scapes
Hottest: organic distilled vinegar, red habaneros, smoked onions, salt, garlic scapes, ghost pepper
About Bottle Rocket Hot Sauce Co.
Based in Austin, Bottle Rocket Hot Sauce Co was founded in 2020 after listening to a podcast where the limited number of direct-to-consumer buffalo sauces was mentioned. As the note around the site updating may infer, the big focus for the founders of Bottle Rocket Hot Sauce Co. is producing an awesome design, fun experience, unique brand and a sauce that will make you want to “tell your damn friends”. Their latest slogan is “no additive bullshit,” likely a nod toward their organic ingredients, no artificial or natural thickeners, and no extra crap that isn’t needed.
Simplicity in their site, simplicity in their labels, and simplicity in their sauces
It’s tough to do any further justice to the creation of Bottle Rocket Hot Sauce Co than Jay Huffman (one of the founders) telling you in his own words, so we’ll just link to his initial write-up on Medium about starting the company for less than $10,000.
You can find all of their sauces on their website for $14.00.
