Creamy Habanero Cilantro Sauce Recipe

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 0 minutes
Spiciness Level: 3/7

Excellent for dipping, dunking, spreading, pouring, anything really.

Ingredients

  • 6-10 Sprigs of Cilantro
  • 3 Habaneros
  • 1-2 cups Mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp Lime Juice
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • a pinch of Salt

Directions

  1. Pluck the stems off of those habs. No hats in the mayo pool! At this time you may also de-seed those lil habs if you must. We won't judge you.
  2. Add all ingredients EXCEPT THE MAYO to food processor and blend it up real nice and good like. It should now be a sickly green color. Well done.
  3. Transfer the processed bits into a bowl, along with whatever feelings you processed along the way and flop that mayo on in there. [INSERT GROSSEST MAYO SOUND HERE].
  4. Mix it all up with a spoon or spatula and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving. This lets all the flavors get to know each other a little bit. The longer they stay undisturbed at the party, the more fun they are when you add them to your foods.

Oh boy, dunking sauces are some of our favorite sauces to make because that means you’re eating something dippable like chicken bites or fries or something else that is awesomely delicious. This was loosely based on a Dave DeWitt recipe and lasted 2 weeks, but presumably could go even longer (we ate it all in that time span).

Tested it on chicken bites, it was great.
Tested it on tacos. Still great.
Tested it on salad. Made the salad great. And the sauce was still great.
Tested it straight from the bowl. Punch to the face of flavor.
