How to Make Air Fryer Hot Wings

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Spiciness Level: 3/7

Wing. Wing a song. Wing out loud. Wing out stroooonnnng…

Ingredients

  • 12-16 Chicken Wings (flats or drums)
  • 1-2 Tbsp Fartley Farms - Head and the Fart Sauce
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • Ranch or Bleu Cheese

Directions

  1. Combine salt, pepper and baking power in a dish.
  2. Toss the wings in the dish with the spices to get an even coating. This helps the wings get nice and crispy.
  3. Throw half of the wings in the air fryer.
  4. Set the air fryer to 400° F and place wings in for 13 minutes.
  5. Open the air fryer, flip the wings, place back in for 12 more minutes at 400° F.
  6. Remove the wings from the air fryer and add the second batch, following the same procedure as above.
  7. While your other wings are cooking, take the newly cooked wings and place them in a dish (could be the same as the baking powder, but please wash that one first if so).
  8. Add in as much of The Head and the Fart sauce as you would like. It's your life, you know how wet you want those wings. Once you've liberally poured enough into the dish, toss them wings real good.
  9. That's it, you've got half a batch of wings. Follow the same procedure with the other half that's cooking and you're good to go.
  10. Serve with ranch or bleu cheese. We don't know your life choices. The submitter even said to add some Fartaritaville (Ghost edition) to some ranch and use that. Get creative!

This recipe was submitted by Amanda (@pan_duh16 on Instagram), one of our top testers. We handed off some The Head and the Fart hot sauce to her last week and she sent back a recipe for wings after enjoying the sauce with some wings. We haven’t revealed the full recipe for The Head and the Fart yet, but it’s got goose berries, fresno peppers, and spiced rum. Pretty good stuff and we’re glad she used it this way!

The Head and the Fart Hot Sauce used to slather some wings.

As always, you can make your own tweaks to this. That’s a majority of cooking really, loosely following recipes and making your own adjustments until you’re happy with it. Some of you may want to skip the baking soda and salt/pepper part. Totally fine. Others may want to slap those wings back into the air fryer after slathering in sauce to caramelize the wings a bit. Also totally fine. We’re not here to tell you what to do, just to give you some ideas. Really, you can use any sauce to do this. The world is your spicy oyster.

For those of you unsure of what the heck we we were talking about in the very beginning, get you some culture and listen to the Carpenters rendition of “Sing.” Just replace the word sing with wing every time and go to your happy place.
